Mad Meg

Where do they all go?

Where do they all go?

Nearly done!

The completed puzzle

The completed puzzle

We had great fun at the first meeting of 2009, cunningly called the AGM to disguise the fact.

Just before Christmas, Allan Davies set us a puzzle. He provided 16 of us with a blank A4 card and a piece of a painting to reproduce.  We were not told which painting.

We assembled the bits at the AGM to recreate a masterpiece. There was no stipulation as to which medium to use, so the results are a glorious, rich hotchpotch - some might say the same about the original!

Click on the pictures to see them in all their glory.

The project caught the eye of Newshopper and was covered in the online and print versions.

The original painting and the intriguing story behind it can be seen on Wikipaedia

Apologetic note - BV has kindly pointed out that the pictures do not open correctly in the gallery. This is a strange, intermittent fault. It may take a while to fix!
